Resume'  - My name is Jim Blanchard. I was born in Scituate, MA where I have lived my entire life. My father was a building and remodeling contractor and I was pretty much raised around the jobsites. I worked in his building business summers and into my mid 20's. I left to pursue opportunities in larger commercial projects. I worked for various companies and eventually found my way into sales and sales management for a major manufacturer of commercial roofing systems.  In 1991, armed with my early experience in residential roofing and construction, bolstered by years of knowledge gained during my commercial and manufacturer experience I returned to my roots to start J. Blanchard & Company. I have seen this business from all sides. I have dealt with the very smallest and the very greatest of problems from a leak in the back garage to re-roofing entire manufacturing facilities. To me one is no less important than the other.

Mission  - When I made my decision to start J. Blanchard & Company it was based on my conviction that a company offering a high level of expertise and integrity would do well catering to a clientele who, while rightfully concerned about price, also understands the meaning of value. For most a home is their biggest, most important investment. Who you call for maintenance is every bit as important as how the work is done.

Philosophy  -  For more than 50 years the name Blanchard has been synonymous with quality and integrity. At an early age I was taught that it wasn't enough to just get the job done. It had to be done right because our reputation depended on it. That was a time when your reputation meant a lot more than the size of your yellow page ad. As times have changed the value of sound knowledge, quality of workmanship and honesty have only increased. Most homeowners today do not have the time to keep up with and evaluate the vast amount of new building technology nor can they always closely monitor their home improvement projects. That's where the value of knowledge and integrity pays off with a quality job for the homeowner and a quality reputation for the contractor.
